iFind 34600 is a really simple LBS for mobile devices. All you do is text a keyword to the titular shortcode (34600) and the service sends you the 10 listings nearest your location. One query, however, costs you R2.00, whatever that means. Is R short for Euro?

It doesn't need GPS, you just add a location name to your query. They don't scrape the data from Google or anything---rather, they rely on the fact that business will WANT to be on their service, like advertising. In fact, as far as I can tell, they are charging both users (R2.00 per SMS) and advertisers, which is pretty cool for them, I guess.
