Hi!

my background is in Industrial and Management Engineering (http://www.rpi.edu - class of '97) but I never really worked with it.

Worked with systems consulting then got into the mobile arena in Brazil working for Zip.Net, a content portal, doing all of their WAP portal management systems. Our sister company was Telesp Celular (now http://www.vivo.com.br) and I managed all of their WAP offering back in 2000.

Following that I went to work on the startup of Oi (http://www.oi.com.br) - the first GSM operator in Brazil. I was responsible for all of the non-voice service platforms - SMS, MMS, GPRS, SIM browsing, WAP, LBS and so on... was a great experience - showed me the "other" side of the mobile industry.

After taking a year off to work with video (documentaries, editing, and filming), I went back into the mobile arena to become the Brazilian branch of Mobile Streams - a British company who sells downloadable content for the mobile phone through the http://www.ringtones.com brand.

Now at ITP I am looking for getting more creative with technology.

In this class I want to explore new ways of interaction between people using their mobile phones.

My phone is a Nokia N80 using Cingular...
